The ceramic owl is something I found in my grandma’s basement. Turns out my aunt made it in a pottery class (I think she might have just painted it, not sure). When I asked for it after my grandmother passed, everyone went, you want THAT? I think he’s cute! The green painting in the background is a quick and dirty thing I did when we lived in our first apartment and had nothing on the walls and no money. They aren’t the most awesome piece of art, but they remind me of how far we’ve come in six years. Sometimes I think about getting a big pottery barn mirror to put up there, but that might be too boring…
