A Portrait of the American Craftsman

Very cool project by photographer Tadd Myers, as seen at the DSVC show. Seeing how things are made is always fascinating to me, but seeing people hand-making things is even more fascinating. And in there somewhere is a little tinge of sadness, that these types of industries used to be so abundant in America and are now fewer and farther between.

About:

I'm Heather. I live in Dallas. I love mid-century modern design and 100 year old houses. Right now, I'm into owls, and gray/yellow color combinations. Over the past 8 years, my career path has been primarily in advertising, but graphic design is my first love. Printmaking might run a close second. On this site I post things that inspire me visually, as well as designs I've done in my free time. I can be reached at aprila711 AT yahoo.com.
