The poinsettia from the last post turned into this, as an idea for a Christmas card. It didn’t go over well, though. I just have a different aesthetic than my client. I like design sponge-esque, mid-century modern style. I want things to look sophisticated but simple. And I think this design does that… it would work well as a wrapping paper, also. I’ll post the more traditional design that did get good reviews in a sec.

About:

I'm Heather. I live in Dallas. I love mid-century modern design and 100 year old houses. Right now, I'm into owls, and gray/yellow color combinations. Over the past 8 years, my career path has been primarily in advertising, but graphic design is my first love. Printmaking might run a close second. On this site I post things that inspire me visually, as well as designs I've done in my free time. I can be reached at aprila711 AT yahoo.com.
