Something about this photo is intriguing. Is it the juxtaposition between nature and rubber? Helium and air? The biomorphic shape of the clouds, and the seemingly geometric square of balloons? Or maybe some reminder of childhood vs. the threat of environmental doom?
I dunno. It’s just like it.

Awesome letterpress video (can we say rack focus?) set to an equally awesome White Stripes song. (via @teresawozniak)

The agency behind the awesome hand-drawn Chipotle work I mentioned before is San Francisco-based Sequence. (via DesignEnvy) Their website nav is pretty cool, despite being mostly Flash. Then it flips over to html for the news section (gotta get that crawl y’all).

Sometimes I wish I had lived during this design era. Sigh!

I’ve been looking at a lot of motion graphics stuff lately, trying to find a speaker for The DSVC. I love 2D stuff like this! (by Ronda)

About:

I'm Heather. I live in Dallas. I love mid-century modern design and 100 year old houses. Right now, I'm into owls, and gray/yellow color combinations. Over the past 8 years, my career path has been primarily in advertising, but graphic design is my first love. Printmaking might run a close second. On this site I post things that inspire me visually, as well as designs I've done in my free time. I can be reached at aprila711 AT yahoo.com.
